We are a typical Florentine restaurant in a privileged position, as, although a few meters from the central Piazza della Signoria and the beautiful Ponte Vecchio, you can taste our kitchen in total tranquility as Chiasso Degli Armagati is a quiet and peaceful alley.
The name Buca, in Florence, distinguishes partly underground restaurants, once the cellars of ancient palaces, where typically the typical Tuscan cuisine is served. And that's exactly what you will find in our restaurant.
We will welcome you, Luciano and Donatello, we are brothers and now for about 15 years we manage our local with all the love and passion possible. The goal is to welcome you with cordiality and kindness making you feel at the center of our attention, but always with discretion and never with intrusiveness.
Thanks to the size of the room, we are the ideal place for groups and to celebrate your events, graduation parties, communions, baptisms, confirmations, birthday parties and weddings.
During the summer, you can comfortably taste our dishes in a beautiful outdoor area or in the small portico next to the restaurant entrance.

Our kitchen presents itself... in fact, as soon as you enter the room you can see the work of the cooks as the kitchen is open on two sides. The Chef and his staff express their creativity by masterfully mastering the typical Tuscan dishes (ribollita, pappa al pomodoro, crostini with liver, Florentine steak, rocket and parmesan, boar stew, etc.) and those of national cuisine.
Although most of the dishes are based on meat and vegetables, you can also enjoy good fish dishes, but this is clear during the summer.
Our dishes are typical of the so-called "poor" Florentine cuisine but our recipes, while maintaining the base of their preparation, in some cases, are revisited with skill and professionalism by our chef, Emiliano.
• OUR STARTERS: the factor's chopping board, the Chianti "tuna", the bruschetta of the forest, the country salad and the selection of cheeses is never missing.
• OUR FIRST DISHES: ravioli alla Buca Poldo, paccheri del "macellaio", ravioli with truffle, fettuccine maremmane, pici with Tuscan pesto, the ribollita of the farmer, penne alla senese and risotto of the black rooster.
• OUR SECOND DISHES: the peposo della fornace imprunetina, the ossobuco alla fiorentina, the wild boar maremmano, the tripe alla fiorentina, the fried of the hive, the baccalà alla livornese.
Finally, there are certainly desserts that are rigorously prepared during the day.
We prepare gluten-free pasta dishes and we also serve vegetarian dishes. All of this is clearly accompanied by excellent Tuscan and National wine labels.
